The paper focuses on the δρόμος – i.e. the Imperial Postal Service of the Eastern Roman Empire – as an example for “mapping” the administrative power through the law, with special reference to the 30^th title of 6^th book of the Bασιλικά, that was the legal source of the heyday of the Empire.
